Scandinavian Business Awards 2024

42. EU Business News- Scandinavian Business 2024 May24157 Chocolate is one of the world’s favourite sweet treats, but this isn’t simply chocolate – Chocolate by Hartmann presents luxury, gourmet chocolate from Denmark. Let’s dive into the chocolatier’s rich offerings as it wins its title in our Scandinavian Business Awards 2024. To begin, we are delighted to introduce Selected Gourmet – a creator and supplier of genuine Danish chocolate of the highest quality. One of the group’s branches, Chocolate by Hartmann has recently been named in our prestigious awards program, and we’re excited to showcase its heartwarming history, partnerships, and achievements. “Are you into good chocolate, and would you like to spoil your taste buds with a culinary chocolate experience out of the ordinary?” Zooming in on Selected Gourmet’s very own Chocolate by Hartmann store, an unwavering force within the world of gourmet chocolate, we found that the Copenhagen-based store is a place of sumptuous flavours and delicate chocolate designs. The journey that has unfolded before Chocolate by Hartmann began in 2015. Working with Betina Prip, Co-Founder Michael Hartmann set out on a sweet adventure which would ultimately elevate the experience of individuals sweeping across the region. Fast forward to 2021 where Michael set out to collaborate with Rasmus Olsen – who owned and ran ro-chocolate now known as the Chocolate by Hartmann store. This collaboration prepared for the opening of the Chocolate by Hartmann store in September 2022, where any chocolate lover can experience true tastebud bliss. Its inspirational designs and excellent craftsmanship shines bright as Chocolate by Hartmann sets a new standard for the luxury chocolate industry. Providing the utmost indulgence through its chocolate, Chocolate by Hartmann is a clear winner of the title Chocolatier of the Year from us at EU Business News, in our Scandinavian Business Awards 2024. Furthermore, the company supports the livelihood of cocoa farmers through the Cocoa Horizons Foundation sustainability program. This sustainability program from Cocoa Horizons is an impact driven program which helps cocoa farmers to build self-sustaining communities which allow them to prosper, while protecting adults, children, and our planet. Of course, many are aware that cocoa farmers face challenges due to being smallholder land workers in remote equatorial locations. As the majority of the cocoa in the world comes from West Africa, the region faces many challenges which make life, and sustainability as a whole, more difficult. By partnering with Cocoa Horizons, Chocolate by Hartmann has swifty made a positive impact on West Africa – delivering success to people and supporting our planet in a sustainable way with its gourmet products. Winning the bronze award in the competition for Denmark’s best rum ball in 2022, alongside a selection of other accolades, the company is hugely proud of its achievements. Additionally, the beauty of the products produced by Chocolate by Hartmann, sweeping across the Selected Gourmet Group’s web shop, allows us to support the sustainable production and consumption of chocolate. We’re sure that its partnerships will only continue to flourish, so that people and the planet can stay protected – and we can enjoy the finer things in life with a clear conscience. The future looks bright for Chocolate by Hartmann as it continues to use the finest ingredients, and the future looks bright for us as humankind as it continues to support people and our planet. It’s an honour to name Chocolate by Hartmann in this awards program, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for the company.
