Q4 2021

8 EU BUSINESS NEWS / Q4 2021 is fast-paced and the curriculum is always changing, there are regular internal training courses for staff who are willing to learn and keep improving their delivery. The IFF is proud to be a German institution, with the phrase “Made in Germany” still having a positive meaning all over the world. The industrial sector is shrinking compared to the service sector, but this still makes up for over a quarter of economic performance. This also applies to NRW, the most populous state. It is all the more important to take into account the much-cited shortage of skilled workers to counteract high-quality training. Certainly, the IFF is a unique educational institute, especially because of the aforementioned shift schedule course, its quality of teaching, and excellent service. This goes hand in hand with the principle of “learning should be fun”, for which it received a second Innovation Award in 2019 for the development of online live learning. This enabled lessons to be accessed via a live 3D hologram. In addition, the institute is particularly addressing the topic of sustainability, with parts of its training equipment made from recycled materials. Indeed, the current trend is that learning be moved in the direction of more online for the long-term, following the COVID-19 pandemic. Even if there are good reasons for classroom teaching, learning has been inching towards being virtual for a while – the pandemic just accelerated it. While some training providers were apparently surprised by the sudden digitisation trend, the IFF was excellently positioned technically, taking the lead with regards to utilising technology during the pandemic. The IFF is now looking ahead towards an ambitious future where it is planning to expand its portfolio in the commercial area and its advanced training, whilst keeping its offering distinctive. It will also continue endeavouring to achieve customer and employee satisfaction while also extending its reach to other locations and as a result more potential students.
