Following the firm’s well-deserved success in the German Business Awards 2020, we invited Dr. Andreas Detig to talk us through the company and the range of solutions it has to offer. Located in Gräfelfing, Aqua Concept GmbH has been providing innovative solutions across three key areas: Competence Centre Heat Transfer Fluids, Competence Centre Industrial Water and Competence Centre Drinking Water. Going into further detail about the firm, Andreas begins by highlighting how each centre works hard to ensure that it offers unique solutions which are ahead of the curve. “As one of the first CO2 compensated companies in the water treatment industry, environmental protection is a central responsibility for us. Resource-efficient production, the use of environmentally compatible active ingredients and low product consumption through effective combinations of active ingredients are the basis of our actions.” The competition facing Aqua Concept GmbH remains an ongoing challenge for the firm, however, as Andreas explains further, it can also offer clients an all-inclusive package when it comes to the treatment of water. “Whether it’s for industrial processes, drinking water treatment or heating protection, clients are getting a full-service when they work with us. In doing so, we act with environmental affinity while demonstrating our expertise. As one of the first CO2 neutral companies in the market, we have set the standard and work hard every day to ensure that we maintain this.” Operating in the water treatment industry can be very exciting, but challenging at the same time. When envisioning what the future holds for the firm, Andreas signs off by commenting on the exciting projects which lie in the pipeline for Aqua Concept GmbH in the years to come. “Looking ahead, to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients we will need to innovate and adapt to new situations. Recently, new statutory regulations have put operators of water-bearing systems under pressure. Here at Aqua Concept GmbH, we have always been one of the first in the market to adapt to these new conditions. “Thanks to our innovative development laboratory, we have been able to respond to the desire for environmentally friendly products. For example, we launched the very first completely glycol-free heat transfer fluid with the coracon® LT EKO F-30. Made from renewable raw materials and water, it provides maximum protection against freezing and corrosion, is NSF-listed, kosher-certified and perfectly suited for all food-grade applications.
