As he eloquently puts it, “you don't need to make life unnecessarily difficult. I see it that way in all areas of life.” Nevertheless, Gerhard believes that some overarching issues within the EU on matters such as unanimity still need to be addressed in order to further streamline its policies. Putting such matters aside, as a sole proprietor, Gerhard’s internal culture rests squarely on his own shoulders, and consists of a trifecta of traits, reliability, self-organisation, and friendliness. Standing firm with his decision to work alone at the moment, Gerhard acknowledges the uncertainty of the future of the industry, since the market and customer demands are undergoing continuous shifts.
