At the start of the pandemic, Cristiana first came into contact with the consulting landscape while helping a Swiss company rebuild. After receiving high praise from an esteemed client, Cristiana began to offer her consultancy for free online to support her peers during turbulent times. From 2020 to 2023, she provided invaluable services to property managers across the US, Canada, and Europe. Cristiana finished working with the Swiss company in 2023 and went on to take over the Tara brand, lending her unique vision and expertise to help companies grow and thrive. Cristiana shares, “Everyone in our team has a task and a responsibility. During onboarding, they receive the necessary training, much of which I do myself, and are not left to walk alone until they ask for it. My management style is very cool; everybody can call us if they want. I always try to take the time to understand who the people I have in the team are and what their hidden part of the iceberg is. I tend to delegate and bring people up for roles that I know would be ideal for them. I have people now that have been working with me for 10 years.” After a decade in the business, Tara Home Consulting utilises word of mouth marketing by actively engaging in social media and attending major industry conferences to promote visibility. The company is the organiser of Scale Italia, one of the major Italian vacation rental conferences, where industry professionals offer practical solutions to help attendees develop scalable short-term rental businesses. Cristiana says, “Our biggest challenge is that the European consulting world in our industry is primarily made up of men. We have a high pink quota and are an inclusive team. Our art director, Alen Meaulle, has therefore decided to play with this male factor in our personal image. I think reputation does more than anything else. I don’t have any magic formulas but after 20 years in the field, I treat the client company as if it were my own.” Tara Home Consulting continues to receive interest from international businesses for its indispensable services and has plans to expand into new markets.
