Benelux Enterprise Awards 2020
20 EU BUSINESS NEWS / 2020 Benelux Enterprise Awards , Best Energy Efficient Tech Solutions Company 2020 & Award for Innovation in Building Performance 2020 Belgium-based company, Conceptualise, is on amission guided by passion, excellence and integrity to create and distribute technological solutions to reduce energy consumption. With the arrival of the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’, traditional electronics are being replaced by new age technology. Conceptualise is learning and developing in order to facilitate these exciting advances into the future. Aug20232 Established in 2015, C o n c e p t u a l i s e was born from a passion for pushing the boundaries of technological innovation and engineering and a desire to create solutions that would have a positive environmental impact. Over the past five years, the company has instilled its expertise into developing technological solutions to reduce energy consumption. When the company was first created, it was to facilitate the internal funding of their new devices, such as ZéroWatt, the energy saving device that works to cut electricity bills by 15% and Streamy, the intelligent multimedia service. The company devoted its first three years to project management services and working on launching these first two products. Having successfully tackled challenges within energy-saving and technology in developing and maintaining the ZéroWatt and Streamy services, Conceptualise was able to materialise their concept for the ‘Things Computing Box’ a full computer that is integrated into an electricity inlet, such as a TV setup box or full WIN10 PC. In 2018, Conceptualise underwent a transformation, adding to its repertoire of project management services an Electronic Design Centre service, offering more ways to provide clients with innovative technological solutions. Boasting extensive knowledge and experience, Conceptualise offers an agile approach to electronic design, that enables efficiency within all projects, as well as cost- effectiveness. While many companies within the mechanics or engineering industry begin investing in long term projects before obtaining any preliminary technical validation, Conceptualise does the checks first. Based on the client’s initial requirements, Conceptualise is able to quickly define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and create a very simple and inexpensive Proof of Concept to fulfil customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction from the beginning to the end of every project. Conceptualise owes a great deal of its successful growth to its team, who are united in their shared passion for electronics. Each new product is the team’s baby, and each challenge is seen as an exciting opportunity to provide a slick, innovative solution. Currently seeking a new business developer, Conceptualise is seeking the same attributes in candidates as it normally does when recruiting; not necessarily the highest IQ, but a genuine passion for electronics, creativity and open- mindedness and the motivation to extend Conceptualise’s global reach. With this shared vision, the Conceptualise team are looking ahead to the future of technology. Most recently, the company has been researching and developing memristor technology, making the most of the lull in business activity brought about by Covid- 19. A memristor is the fourth electronic component after a resistor, capacitor and inductor. Its predominant feature is that it is able to stay in an ‘analogue state’ without using any energy, which opens the door to possibilities such as neurosynaptic computing, advanced analogue versatile filters and affordable, ultra low consumption electronics. Conceptualise is excited that they will soon be able to announce their proof of concept for a memristor application, and then begin attracting investors to a marketable product. With an eye constantly on the future of technology and new age concepts such as quantum computing and spintronics, we are sure that exciting things lie ahead for Conceptualise as they continue to create solutions for tomorrow.
