EU Business News is delighted to announce the return of the Scandinavian Business Awards 2025, a program dedicated to recognising the exceptional achievements of businesses across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Now in its sixth year, the awards continue to highlight innovation, growth, and entrepreneurial success in one of the world’s most dynamic and prosperous regions.
Scandinavia is widely regarded as a global leader in innovation, sustainability, and economic resilience. Home to a combined population of approximately 21 million people, the region boasts some of the highest standards of living and disposable incomes worldwide. In 2023, the collective GDP of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway exceeded $1.4 trillion, underscoring the strength and potential of this market.
Each country in the region brings unique strengths to the business landscape. Sweden is a global hub for technology and startups, with Stockholm producing the second-highest number of billion-dollar tech companies per capita after Silicon Valley. Denmark, known for its leadership in green technology and pharmaceuticals, continues to attract global investment in MedTech and telecommunications. Norway, bolstered by its vast natural resources, is driving innovation in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, solidifying its role as a pioneer in energy transition.
Scandinavian businesses are embracing digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation at an unprecedented pace. In 2024, nearly 80% of businesses in the region adopted digital tools to optimise operations, while investments in renewable energy grew by 15%, furthering Scandinavia’s position as a global leader in sustainability. Scandinavian consumers also play a pivotal role, with their reputation for rapid adoption of new technologies and products. Studies show that in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, the average time for new product adoption is 50% faster than the rest of Europe.
Emerging sectors like Life Sciences, Digital Health, and Green Energy are transforming the region’s economy, while established industries such as logistics, manufacturing, and finance continue to innovate and expand. This confluence of tradition and modernity makes Scandinavia one of the most exciting regions for businesses to thrive.
The Scandinavian Business Awards 2025 will shine a spotlight on the trailblazers across these dynamic markets. From startups disrupting their industries to established enterprises pushing the boundaries of excellence, the awards celebrate businesses that exemplify innovation, resilience, and impact. Winners will be selected through a rigorous and unbiased process led by EU Business News’ in-house research team. Key criteria include company performance, client testimonials, product innovation, and brand reputation. This ensures that all honourees are recognised solely on merit, offering credibility and prestige to every recipient.
Being selected as a recipient in the prestigious Scandinavian Business Awards delivery a wide range of benefits. It enhances brand reputation, boosts team morale, and provides valuable marketing opportunities. Winners receive a free marketing toolkit to promote their success, underscoring EU Business News’ commitment to ensuring the awards are not pay-to-play. Additionally, optional commercial packages offer extended exposure to help businesses maximise their visibility and growth potential.

The EU Business News team work hard in identifying great businesses, driving many of the nominations themselves. We also encourage external nominations from the subscribers of the magazine, online visitors, social media followers, clients and wider circulation. Nominating parties are invited to put forward either their own business or third-party companies whom they hold in high regard.
All nominees are formally requested to accept their nomination. Should any firm or individual decline at this point, they are simply taken out of the running. Those who formally accept are given the opportunity to submit additional supporting information to cement their nomination. Although there is no obligation to complete and supply material, we have found that many nominees value this stage, in the process, as much as our research team do.
Our dedicated research team will assess all information presented to them. The team gather information independently from a variety of publicly accessible sources, which are assessed alongside any material supplied by a nominating party or the nominee themselves. The research team casts their final judgment, based on various criteria such as: business performance, longevity, business growth (either sustained or rapid), any significant innovations or feedback from stakeholders.
Once winners are selected, they are personally notified before any public announcement is made, allowing time for any communications throughout the wider business and the coordination of marketing strategies. Unfortunately, not everyone can be a winner; however, all who take part are encouraged to come back next year. Once the press embargo is lifted, details of our award winners will be made public via the website, award winners’ magazine and subscriber newsletter.
We are prepared to offer a range of promotional packages and items to winners of a EU Business News award, which vary from inclusion in the free-of-charge winners’ directory, to trophies, content in our magazine and on our website.
We encourage all winners to publicly announce their win independently in order to gain maximum exposure for their win. Announcements via company websites, social media, via publicly released press releases, and through local and national press are all great ways of maximising the exposure which can be gained from such a great achievement. If you have need of further advice, on how to publicise your win, please feel free to get in touch. We are happy to assist our clients with their needs.
