Amazon announced the launch of the Export Central tool, which allows sellers who are a part of Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) to expand their reach internationally to customers in 39 countries in Europe.

The Export Central tool is part of a wider free-to-use European Export Programme that enables Amazon sellers to export from six stores: the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands*. The European Export Programme allows Amazon sellers to reach millions of customers in countries where there is no Amazon store, including destinations such as Austria, Portugal, and Greece, without the need to duplicate listings or register new accounts.

The European Export Programme drives traffic and conversions to existing seller listings, offering growth opportunities, and is available to all sellers regardless of whether they use Fulfilment By Amazon (FBA) or are part of Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN).

FBA sellers are automatically enrolled into the European Export Programme at no extra cost. Sellers who have enabled Export from their European stores have seen an average sales uplift of up to 10%**. MFN sellers that self-fulfil their orders need to provide shipping rates and transit times for international shipping within Europe, which we advise sellers to check with their carrier. To start exporting, sellers must also be VAT compliant in the destination country – Union One-Stop Shop (UOSS) enrolment can simplify EU VAT requirements.

Sellers can enable international shipping settings from multiple stores simultaneously in just three clicks – through Export Central, as explained in this video, or by accessing Export Central through their Seller Account and exploring their export expansion opportunities.

For sellers using seller-fulfilled export with Export Central, Amazon will enable international shipping settings for selected stores and destinations on their behalf and propose standard transit times and shipping fees. Sellers will be able to review and adjust those settings before proceeding to the next step and edit them.

Xavier Flamand, Amazon’s VP of Seller Services, Europe, said: “We are always looking at ways to support our selling partners to grow their business and Export Central is a game-changer for Amazon sellers looking to expand their businesses across borders, especially in countries where Amazon does not operate a store. Sellers can now seamlessly list and ship their products across Europe with ease. Our programme eliminates many of the traditional barriers to international expansion, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on what they do best – creating and selling amazing products. At Amazon, we’re committed to empowering small and medium-sized businesses by providing them with powerful tools and services to reach customers globally.”

* Netherlands store exports to Belgium only.** Average potential uplift if seller activates all countries for seller-fulfilled shipment. Please note that actual sales growth can vary depending on various factors, including the product categories offered and the countries shipped to.
